When you use Gigalogy Snip, we may collect information needed to create and manage short links, such as the destination URL, optional page title, short code, related timestamps, and technical request data.

The Gigalogy Snip Chrome extension may access the URL and page title of the active tab when you choose to shorten the current page. The extension may also store settings, authentication state, or API credentials in Chrome storage so it can connect to your Gigalogy Snip account.

We use collected information to provide URL shortening, account access, dashboards, analytics, API key features, security controls, abuse prevention, debugging, and customer support.

The extension requests permissions so it can read the active page URL when you initiate a shortening action, save extension settings locally, and communicate with the Gigalogy Snip service. The extension does not read page contents beyond what is needed to create the short link.

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect information. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, but we work to reduce risk and respond to security issues responsibly.
